Are you asking yourself...

Ÿ
When should we start planning for college?

Ÿ   Is my child taking the right classes?

Ÿ   Are they challenging enough?

Ÿ   What are today's colleges looking for in a student?

Ÿ   To which kind of school should my child apply?

Ÿ   Should he start at a small college and then transfer?

Ÿ   Should he attend a traditional school or take online courses?

Ÿ   Will the HOPE Grant help pay for my child's education?

These are all valid questions – and ones that may be on your mind right now.
Many parents struggle with how to help their middle or high school student prepare for a life beyond high school. You've guided them this far – What other things can you do to ensure they choose the right post-secondary path?

This first-ever forum is designed to help middle and high school parents learn about the many opportunities awaiting their children after graduation and how to prepare them today. Representatives from several of metro Atlanta's top colleges and universities will explain the college admissions process and other entry requirements through a panel discussion.

Following the panel discussion, parents can attend small group, break-out sessions with other organizations to learn about classes and other courses your child should take to prepare for a successful post-secondary experience. (Note: while students are not excluded from this event, the information is targeted toward parents and guardians)

Make a left onto Ferst Drive. Follow Ferst to Visitor Parking V03, the first right after the Student Center Parking Deck V02.

Driving north on I-75/85 into Atlanta:
Take Exit #250 (10th/14th Street). Turn left (west) onto 10th Street at the top of the exit ramp. Continue down 10th Street past Fowler Street and Atlantic Drive, making a left onto State Street. Follow State Street to Ferst Drive. Turn right onto Ferst Drive and continue past the Campus Recreation Center and the light at Means Street. The Visitor Parking V03 should be the first left after the Means Street traffic light and before the Student Center Parking Deck V02.
